How is the most powerful convertible in the world that exceeds 480 kilometers per hour

The Monterrey Car Week 2022 had as one of the stars the new sports convertible, which is now the fastest in the world

when John hennessey started preparing sports cars and turning them into supercars, he probably had in his mind to create his own model one day. That first car, his own Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4, rose from 300 to 450 horsepowerand since then each step was better than the previous one.

All kinds of developments in Viper, Camaro, Corvette, McLaren, Lamborghini, Mustang and even impressive Jeep Gladiator and Dodge Durango models passed through his hands. In each development, the name Venom (Venom) was synonymous with Hennesseycoming to produce a Viper Venom 1000which had precisely 1,000 horsepower. Then would come the Venom VR1200 and Venom GT.

So, in 2017, with the growth of the company and the prestige gained as the best car tuner in the world, hennessey decided to create his own car. he called it Poison F5 and it was a real technical revolution that took three years to come to light in 2020.

After preparing cars from other manufacturers, in 2017, John Hennessey decided to create his own hypercar. The Hennessey Venom F5 went on sale in 2020 and only 24 units were made

Body completely built in carbon fiber, large-displacement V8 engine, without hybridization or any electrical assistance, and advanced aerodynamic efficiency. His engine was 7.4 liters of displacement with twin turbothat allowed him to reach 1,660 CV of power and 1,753 Nm of torquewith what he was able to get from 0 to 300 km/h in less than 10 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 300mph

Only 24 Venom F5 cars were built and each one was priced at $1.6 million, although anyone wanting customization should bump the number up to just over 2 million. Well, what happened was that the 24 owners wanted to do something special to their F5, and then they all ended up paying that kind of money.

In 2022, as a way to celebrate 30 years since that beginning, John Hennessey announced that he would launch a second version of Venom. And it has complied by presenting at the Monterey Car Week in California, The Venom F5 Roadster.

The difference with the F5 coupé is simply that it does not have a roof.and that makes it one of the most powerful hypercars in the world, which can now also offer the unique pleasure of enjoying speeds in excess of 450 km/h with its head in the air. It is, in effect, the most extreme roadster ever made.

While it's convertible, top speeds can't be reached without the carbon fiber hardtop that comes with the car.

We will have to see what the manufacturer’s suggestion is for extreme speeds, since the new Hennessey brings a One-piece detachable hardtop, which will fulfill the function of protecting its interior and that of its passengers from inclement weather, but also from the centrifugal force that is likely to be felt in that cabin, when the car exceeds 300 km/h.

Given the success of the first model, the new version will have a slightly higher production, although not as much. 30 units will be manufactured and its price will also rise, since each Roadster will cost 3 million dollars.

The powerful engine is a 6.6-liter V8, capable of reaching 1,842 horsepower.

The technical sheet of the Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster says the engine is a V8 with 6.6 liters of displacement, its power is 1,842 CV of power, 1,617 Nm of torque and 1,405 Kg of weight.

The weight/power ratio is 1.31 CV/kg, the acceleration is 2.8 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h and 15.5 seconds to go from 0 to 400 km/h. The final speed that it promises is 482 km / h with the roof on.
