To stimulate tourist movement during the low season months, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports launched the third edition of PreTravel. During the first two editions, the program benefited 5 million touristswith an economic impact of $165 billion. More than 50% of billing was recorded in travel agencies.
The State will reimburse 50% of the expenses to reuse in the entire tourist chain of the country those who buy their services in advance. In the case of PAMI affiliates, the return will be 70%.
In this frame, Those who travel between October 10 and December 5 can buy from September 6 to 11 and upload their vouchers from September 6 to 14 on the website www.previaje.gob.ar. To travel between November 1 and December 5, you can make your purchases from September 6 to 18 and upload your vouchers from September 6 to 21.
Once the purchase of hotels, tickets or any other tourist service has been made, it is necessary enter www.previaje.gob.ar with the MiArgentina level 3 user and upload the corresponding receipts. After loading, the credit will be validated and credited on the date of travel. To use it, travelers will receive a preloaded debit card issued by Banco Nación. They will also be able to spend the reimbursement through BNA+, the entity’s virtual wallet. Those who have participated in previous editions of Previaje and keep their card will be able to use it again.
The amounts reimbursed under the Pre-Trip program have a minimum of $5,000 and a maximum of $70,000 per person over 18 years of age
Purchases that generate credit are only those that are carried out before tourist providers registered in Pre-Tripthat provide services such as accommodation, travel agencies, domestic air transport, land transport, car and equipment rental, parks, museums and excursions, among others.
Once the Pre-Travel card is received, the credit can be used at any business in the tourism sector, from the start date of the trip until December 31, 2022. An important point is that, when spending the reimbursement, it is not necessary for the business to be registered in Pre-Trip. That’s why, with this card the traveler will be able to spend on new tourist services but also on gastronomy or shows in their own city until December 31.
Access to the benefit will be enabled once the minimum accumulated amount of $10,000 has been reached, made up of one or more proof of expenses. The minimum amount per receipt is $1,000. The amounts reimbursed under the Pre-Trip program have a minimum of $5,000 and a maximum of $70,000 per person over 18 years of agefor purchases in the categories of accommodation, travel agencies and transportation. In the rest of the items, the credits will have a maximum of $5,000 per person.
All limits mentioned are per person. Therefore, in a family group, all members over 18 years of age can generate creditsas long as the receipts loaded in the system are in your name.
On the other hand, it should be remembered that the Ministry of Tourism and Economy signed an agreement with the entities representing the private sector to establish a table of maximum rates in the accommodations that participate in Pre-Trip 3. To do this, the latest low season rates available in the main destinations of each province were taken as a reference; that is, the one corresponding to June or July 2022, depending on the characteristics of the place. With this objective, a survey of nearly 200,000 prices was carried out. The sanction for accommodations that do not comply will be exclusion from Pre-Trip in its current and future editions.
The Minister of Tourism and Sports, Matthias LammensHe stated in this regard: “PreViaje was the great impetus to start the recovery of the sector internally after its greatest global crisis. Thanks to this ingenious program, which had a low fiscal cost, our established and emerging destinations enjoyed a historic and extended season. In this post-pandemic scenario, we launched a more focused version, with the aim of encouraging getaways during the months with less movement.
